Assalammualaikum and Hi. 👋

I was actually getting ready to sleep but then again I cannot put myself to sleep just yet. There's a lot of things in my mind. 14 days before the results. Entah kenapa i can feel it that this semester's results will be so bad. Tak mampu dah nak jadi dean's student. Bukannya tak mampu, tapi lebih kepada malas. I really wanna make my family proud again. Tapi after what happened to previous semester punya result. Ah cuaknya bila fikir. Serious result kalini mesti teruk based on prestasi diri sendiri. Dan ada ura ura yang mengatakan akan ada satu dua paper yang tersangkut. I'm not hoping for it to happen, but just lets be prepared. In case it come out true, then it will be less hurt. Uhuks.

So, back to topic. Actually nak buat short story. Simple je. Light light since aku pun nak tidur. Oh yeah, this might be an english one sebab tak rasa nak cakap formal. So lets just enjoy and you guys can just skip it kalau bosan okay? (Bajet macam ada orang baca je)

I woke up to the sight of a man sleeping on a chair with his hand holding onto mine. His head on my bed. His calm face. I can hear his slow breathing. I move myself a bit causing him to wake.

"Sayang?"

I blinked my eyes a few times. Getting adjusted to the lights. He get onto this bed, stroking my hair back to my ear. I smiled. My lovely fiance. I am trying to get up.

"Hey! Hey! Don't move just yet. Your wounds are not fully recovered yet." He hold my shoulders down. And then i felt sudden pain in my stomach.

"How long have I been here? I don't really remember what happened last time." My head hurts. There isn't any memory coming into my brain.

"It has been two days Sayang. You are badly injured. And I blamed myself for that. I'm sorry." I can see how sorry he is. That almost teary eyes. He looked down caressing my fingers.

"No, don't blame yourself. I know it wasn't your fault. Although I don't really remember what happened back then. But I did remember you screamed my names and came running to me. I know you did your best." I hold his face with my two hands. Forcing him to look at me. He did.

"If and only if I didn't forced you to follow me for supper and left you all alone at the car park, you you won't get stab like this."

And then my memory started to appear one in one like puzzle pieces. I started getting the picture.

..........48 Hours before the incident.......

I was about to get my beauty sleep when Adrian called me.

"Sayang, sleep already? I'm so hungry right now, mind to go supper with me? I barely had enough food today."

"Ugh, I was about to get one before you called."

"Please baby girl, I'm so hungry I might eat you. I'll be there in 15 mins. Be ready quick." And he hung up the phone just like that.

Okay, since he used to do the same to me each time I'm hungry at night so yeah I'm going to do the same. I quickly changed my nightwear to a jeans and a hoodie. He might be here any minutes from now. I tied my hair to a bun. Usually I will just let my hair loose. But since I'm getting those bed hair already, so will I just put it in a bun.

My phone beeps which means Adrian is here. I get downstairs. Trying to be as quiet as I can. Didn't want to bother my housemates. I locked the door behind me. Lock the gate and get into the car. Adrian was in his jeans and a hoodie too. What a match I didn't expect for it to happen.

"Looking cute as always Nayla. I knew you would dressed up like this so yeah trying to match you. And yeah I got lucky."

"Pretty much it seems."

And we both laughed. We spent time talking in the car. Singing to the songs from my phone. As we all know, radio at night sure is boring. Since, I'm sleepy and I don't wanna sleep on our way for supper so yeah. Just a lil bit of catchy music to light up the night.

So we went for supper at our usual favourite restaurant. He said he want some Mee Goreng Mamak so here we are. We talked about our day. He has been busy with works. Clients been changing design from time to time. He barely get enough time to eat. All he got is meeting all day long. While me being usual, going to classes and get home early, or else joining study group.

We had lost tracked of the time that it is later 2 a.m. Lucky, tomorrow is weekend so I won't have to worry about waking up late to the school. And then we went to the car park. As we are halfway there, Adrian said he forgot that he needs to buy the cough syrup at the mart, so he gave his car keys to me asking me to get in the car first.

As I was walking along the shop lot, I saw a man is trying to harass a girl. So, I went there to help her. It turned out that he is trying to ask money from her and he holds a knife. I told her I will call the police but like he cared? I was trying to shove him away that I tripped and yeah, he stabbed me with the knife. What a mess. All I heard later was Adrian calling my name and rushing to me. I fell on the ground with the girl crying. And then I don't know what happened.

.........Now..........

I giggled and caused Adrian to stop packing my things.

"Sayang, are you okay? What is so funny? I might need to call doctor. Who knows that there is something wrong with your head. We need to check them out." Adrian walk over to my bed. Touching my head. Again stroking my hair back to my ear.

"Nothing, I just remembered what happen! I was trying to help her, but I made a wrong move and caused the knife to stab at me. Hahahahaha. I don't even know how did I get all the strength to do that. Hey, what happened after that? What about the girl."

"It is not funny you little brat. Urgh. Just remind me not to let you wander all alone again." Adrian sit on my bed. With his-trying-to-get-mad-but-cute face. I smiled.

"Chill sayang. I was trying to help okay? At least the girl is safe."

"Yeah, after that I punched him in the face. He's trying to escape but it was my luck. The patrol car was on duty so they stopped by and arrested him. And the girl called ambulance and we get you here. We're lucky that knife didn't went too deep. But, somehow you're not waking up for two days that's what making me worried you know."

And then later, his family and mine came visit. They were so worried of me and I'm grounded for going to supper until god knows when. Adrian got a full lectures from my dad. And he promised not to left me alone again. It wasn't entirely his fault anyway but yeah at least he set his priorities straight. And at least I know, he loves me so much that it hurts him too, to see me hurt like that.

That girl is safe. Adrian went to lodge report with her and her dad earlier. She did visited me when I was about to go home and saying how grateful she is with me being there to save her. I remind her to not go in that dark place all alone again. And she promised to not too. So, then I need to get home and enjoy my break.

"I love you sayang. Thank you for taking care of this messy and silly girl." I said, as he was driving me home.

"I love you too." He smiled.

Lol patutnya nak post malam tadi, in the middle of typing. Laptop mati pulak tak bagitau langsung. So yeah. Baru nak post. Nah baca la. Saja bosan bosan. Sorry for any grammatical error ek.
